About Adrian Pradhan
I am Adrian Pradhan, a versatile artist known as a vocalist, composer, and songwriter. Born on August 18 under the Leo sign, I was raised in the charming town of Kalimpong, India.
Embarking on My Musical Journey!
My musical odyssey took its initial steps during my school days. I delved into the world of music and actively participated as a member of the St. Augustine School choir in Kalimpong (Classes 1-4). My journey commenced with the mouth organ and keyboard as my first musical companions. However, in 1989, I discovered the guitar, which became my primary focus until 1995 when I transitioned to the drums.
My initiation into the music scene was with the band "Eurika," marking my first-ever gig. This performance took place during my 10th-grade year as part of a fundraising concert for the Blind School in Kalimpong. Subsequently, I joined the band "Flames," which gained recognition nationwide and was even featured in Sun Magazine's Indian Edition.
My Transition to Kathmandu!
In 1994, I made my way to Kathmandu. For three years, I taught English and gave guitar lessons at Little Angels School before becoming a member of the faculty at Galaxy Public School.
My journey with 1974 AD began in 1994, initially as a piano player. However, my role evolved, and by 1998, I became a permanent fixture in the band, contributing as a vocalist, drummer, and harmonica player. Beyond my band commitments, I embarked on solo projects and released albums such as "Aaaja," "Ballad," "Janani," and "Saath."
Beyond the Musical Realm!
Aside from my musical pursuits, I'm an ardent movie enthusiast with a penchant for Al Pacino, Robert de Niro, Brad Pitt, Jack Black, Priyanka Chopra, and Aamir Khan. Among my cherished cinematic treasures are "The Godfather" and "Sholay." Nature's beauty captivates me, and I'm an avid hiking enthusiast.
My musical tastes are diverse, ranging from the hard rock sounds of Deep Purple and Iron Maiden to the intricate melodies of Indian classical music.
In essence, my life is a harmonious blend of creative expression, cultural appreciation, and a profound connection with nature.
