These Terms & Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the Chordpedia website and mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). Chordpedia ("we", "us", "our") is operated by an individual based in Nepal.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
  • If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • By using the Service, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into this Agreement.

2. Accounts and Registration

  • You may be required to create an account to access certain features.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account.

3. Use of the Service

  • Chordpedia provides access to song lyrics, chords, tabs, and related music content.
  • The Service is intended for personal, educational, and non-commercial use only, unless explicitly authorized.
  • You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

4. Intellectual Property

  • Except for User-Generated Content, all content on the Service is owned by Chordpedia or its licensors.
  • Content is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content without permission.

5. User-Generated Content (UGC)

Chordpedia allows users to submit content such as song lyrics, chords, tabs, comments, and related materials ("User-Generated Content").

By submitting User-Generated Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the content or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to share it.

By submitting content, you grant Chordpedia a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and make your content available for operating, promoting, and improving the Service.

You retain ownership of your User-Generated Content, subject to the license granted above.

Chordpedia reserves the right to remove or disable access to any User-Generated Content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

Chordpedia respects the intellectual property rights of others.

If you believe that content available on the Service infringes your copyright, please submit a takedown request including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Identification and location of the infringing material
  • Your name and contact information
  • A statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized
  • A statement that the information provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

7. Advertising

  • Chordpedia does not currently process online payments through the Service.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Chordpedia makes no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability of the content or Service.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chordpedia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
