Questions
Everything you need to know about Chordpedia — the app, chords, contributing, and more.
Getting Started
Where can I find the Chordpedia app?
Chordpedia is available on both major platforms — completely free to download with no account required to browse. You can find the app on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play for Android devices. Simply search for "Chordpedia" in either store or use the links below.
Once installed, you get immediate access to over 1,000 Nepali guitar and ukulele chord charts, song lyrics, artist profiles, tutorial videos, and upcoming music event listings — all without paying a single rupee. The app works great even on older devices and has been optimised for low-data connections commonly used in Nepal.
Is Chordpedia free to use?
Yes — Chordpedia is completely free with no subscription, no paywalls, and no hidden fees. Every chord chart, lyric sheet, artist profile, tutorial video, and event listing on the platform is accessible to all users at no cost, forever.
We believe that learning to play Nepali music should never be a financial barrier. Whether you are a complete beginner picking up your first guitar or an experienced musician looking for accurate chord voicings for a specific song, everything on Chordpedia is available to you for free. There is no premium tier, no ads blocking content, and no feature gating. The app is also free to download on both iOS and Android. We keep it free through community contributions and the passion of our team.
Chords & Content
How can I request chords for a song?
If you cannot find a specific Nepali song in our library, you can submit a chord request directly through the app. Install the Chordpedia app, open the More section from the bottom navigation, and tap the Request Chord button. Fill in the song title and artist name, then submit — it only takes about 30 seconds.
Our team of experienced contributors reviews every request and prioritises songs based on demand and availability. Popular requests are typically added within a few weeks. You can also follow us on social media to stay updated when new songs are added. We add new chord charts regularly and our library grows every week, so even if your song is not available today, it may well appear soon. For urgent requests, you can also contact us directly through the website.
Can I upload or contribute chords and lyrics?
Yes — Chordpedia is a community-driven platform and we actively welcome contributions from musicians and music enthusiasts. Registered users can submit new chord charts, song lyrics, corrections to existing entries, and artist information. Every contribution goes through a review process to ensure accuracy and quality before it is published.
By uploading content, you confirm that you have the necessary rights to share it and grant Chordpedia permission to display it on the platform. This is important to protect both the contributors and the artists whose work is represented. If you spot an error in an existing chord chart — a wrong capo position, an incorrect chord name, or a missing verse — you can flag it through the app or contact us directly and we will review it promptly. Join our growing community of contributors and help make Chordpedia the most accurate Nepali chord resource available.
