About Subani Moktan

Subani Moktan is not only a singer/songwriter but also a music arranger. In addition to producing her independent music, she serves as a playback singer for movies. As an educator at Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, Subani Moktan proficiently plays the guitar and piano, actively participating in collaborations with various bands.

Her musical journey began early, starting piano lessons at the age of 6. At 7, she achieved her first accolade by securing the top position in the All Nepal Singing Competition organized by Bal Mandir. As a reward, she recorded her inaugural song at Radio Nepal.

At the age of 14, Subani embraced the guitar and initiated collaborations with artists like Nirnaya da NSK and Khem Gurung. By the time she turned 16, she clinched the Hits FM Music Award for Best New Artist. Following the release of her second album, she earned the Hits FM Music Award for "Best Pop Vocal Performance Female."

With numerous collaborations and recordings under her belt, Subani received nominations at the 2010 Hits FM Music Awards for "Best Rock Artist" and "Best Rock Composition." Continuing to write and record her own compositions, she remains dedicated to collaborative efforts with fellow artists.
