Music is not just what I do; it is how I express, connect, and breathe.My musical foundation was built on the rich traditions of Indian Classical music, a grounding that later empowered me to experiment, fuse genres, and break boundaries. The release of my solo album Breathless in 1998 marked a turning point, opening doors to a lifetime of creation in Indian cinema alongside my brothers, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa. Together, as Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, we have spent decades crafting the soundtracks to countless lives and stories.My artistic path has always been about building bridges. Playing alongside global legends in the fusion band Shakti allowed me to take Indian melodies to the world stage, culminating in a historic Grammy Award win in 2024. Throughout this journey, being honored with the Padma Shri and multiple National Film Awards has only deepened my responsibility to the art form.Today, my vision extends beyond my own performances.
