About Dixita Karki
Dixita Karki, known as Pugu, developed a love for music at an early age. She began singing at just 8, inspired by Justin Bieber’s song "Baby," which she listened to daily on her aunt’s phone. As she grew older, her musical interests expanded, and she improved her vocal skills by practicing karaoke for hours. Encouraged by praise from peers during hostel performances, Dixita began covering songs, with help from her father, who owned a studio.
Her breakthrough came when she performed at one of her father’s gigs at a bar, recording the performance just for fun. To her surprise, the video received thousands of views, and her cover songs gained popularity. She and her father also began vlogging, which resonated with fans due to their unique and heartwarming bond.
After years of hard work and countless covers, Dixita released her original song "Timi Ra Ma," marking her growth from a cover artist to a singer-songwriter in the Nepali music industry.
