About Dechen Phinasa
Hello! I'm Dechen Phinasa, a singer-songwriter hailing from Gangtok, Sikkim, India.
In my teenage years, I was a member of Sikkim's first all-girls band, GENESIS OF PINK.
I released my debut single and video, "PUKAR," in 2016, and since then, I've put out other singles and videos, including "BAATO," "RAAT HO KI DIN," "HAIRAAN," and "AANDHI."
I've also collaborated on tracks such as "ICHYA" with Brijesh Shrestha, "MERI SANI" and "INDRENI" with Ekdev Limbu, and "PAHILO BHET" with Yabesh Thapa.
My debut album, "DRISHTI," was released on November 10, 2023. Produced by GANGTOK GROOVE RECORDS, this album features seven tracks exploring themes of love, life, personal growth, and mental health. It offers a diverse range of sounds, from soulful ballads and funky grooves to island reggae and folk rock fusion, catering to various musical tastes.
