About Chumbak

Chumbak is a dynamic Nepali rock band that blends raw energy, heartfelt lyrics, and modern rock sounds to create music that resonates deeply with listeners. Emerging from eastern Nepal, the band has quickly become a powerful voice in the country’s contemporary rock scene.
The band is currently made up of:
Gongba Spikes – Vocals
Lav Sherpa – Guitar
Sahil Sen – Guitar
Bibek Tamang – Bass
Sanjaya Shrestha – Drums

Chumbak’s journey began with a shared passion for rock music and the desire to create original compositions that reflect life, struggles, and dreams in Nepal. Their debut EP Bageko Bagey (2022) and self-titled EP Chumbak (2023) introduced their unique sound and cemented their place in the Nepali rock landscape.
In 2024, the band entered a new era with the release of “Judhera,” the first single from their upcoming album Sapana Vayo Mahango. With refreshed energy and a lineup that balances experience and fresh creativity, Chumbak continues to evolve while staying true to their roots.
